Alexz Johnson is a Canadian singer-songwriter based in Brooklyn, NY. She began writing songs at the age of 12. Her success in TV and film over the years (So Weird, Instant Star) has given her a supportive following to experiment her unique pop/soul/folk sound. After writing for and performing in multiple films & TV shows, Alexz attracted the attention of major labels, signing first to Capital in 2005 and then Sony Records in 2008. Due to internal changes, Alexz didn’t get the opportunity to release her material. She has since been pursuing her career independently of the major label market. In 2012, Alexz decided to record and release an EP called “Skipping Stone” and launched a Kickstarter campaign in hopes to tour it. She raised $67,000 allowing her to tour 17 cities with her band across the US and Canada. Alexz is now in the process of working on material for her next album and looks forward to touring in 2013.

Can you buy tickets at the Old Rock House in advance? Buying tickets online in advance actually winds up costing more (with the fees) than what buying tickets the day of would cost… ($30.50 for two tickets)
Yes, you can… but we are only open during concerts. So it has to be a night that we are open for a show.
