Formed in May 2004 in Austin, TX, The Black Angels’ psychedelically induced rock n’ roll evokes the spirit of the 1960′s while awakening the heavy droning rhythms inspired by The Velvet Underground. Picture a red moonlit night, deep in the heart of Texas, with the ghosts of Nico and Timothy Leary being called back from the dead to guide you on a journey through Heaven & Hell and back again.

The Black Angels are marching forward into battle for your souls.

The Night Beats

The Night Beats are an American Psychedelic, Garage and Soul group based out of Seattle, Washington. The group consists of Lee Blackwell (Lead Guitar, Vocals), James Traeger (Drums) and Tarek Wegner (Bass). Night Beats incorporate sounds of early R&B, Texas Psychedelic Rock, Blues. Night Beats currently hail from Seattle but as two of the three members are originally from Texas, it’s not hard to pick out the influence of golden age TX psych idols such as the 13th Floor Elevators, Lost and Found and Golden Dawn.
