Kyle Gass of Tenacious D is no stranger to staying busy with side projects ranging from Trainwreck, to Kyle Gass Band, to Guitarings, and now his own solo releases, so this Spring he’s headed out to play some shows thru the midwest with Columbus based Mt. Air in support and backing him up. It’ll be a collection of songs from the past catalog, the new releases, and anything else that feels like it might melt your face off. KG’s old pal John Konesky will be coming along to lend a musical hand and the whole gang will be sticking around to meet ya after the show. Come hang!

All ages show – $2 cash surcharge at the door for minors
Kyle Gass of Tenacious D is no stranger to staying busy with side projects ranging from Trainwreck, to Kyle Gass Band, to Guitarings, and now his own solo releases.
From the first chord of their set, the path is drawn. Anchored on whispery sweet three-part vocal harmonies, rich textures of finger picked guitar and a lush bed of warm synth pads, this mid-western soft-rock trio write songs that bring you home.

Fronted by singer-songwriter Sean Gardner, the influence of Americana song craft is apparent via both guitar playing and lyrical comparisons to Jason Molina, Elliot Smith, and Jeff Tweedy.

Lyrically, the songs traverse both heartbreak and self-discovery. While musically, the band builds their strength around Nate Rothacker and Casey Cooper, whose friendship dates back to grade school. This tight bonded rhythm section adds a sonic texture reminiscent of classic and modern psychedelia like Pink Floyd and Blonde Redhead
