WHY

We believe in the troubadour, the bard, the traveling musician. We are here to protect and promote the songs they have made.

We believe in the chorus, the crowd, the assembly. We hold them sacred. We value their thoughts and beliefs. We welcome them into our space.

We believe in the campfire, the gathering, the coming together. We know that there are human vibrations that cannot travel through ones and zeroes.

We believe in independence. The path we travel is our own, the decisions we make are our own. We are sovereign, and we create our own destiny.

FAQs

Taking photos/videos with your phone is welcome – please tag us on social media if you share! We do not allow professional gear – including cameras with detachable lenses, tripods / stands, flash photography, or audio recording – without artist/venue permission.

Yes, there are double doors to the left of the soundbooth on the right side of the concert hall as you are facing the concert hall bar. We ask that you close the doors behind you and re-enter the building in the front.

Yes you can, but Cash is definitely easier & faster!

We believe in living in the moment, so we don’t do tabs. All purchases are pay-as-you-go. We accept all major credit cards and cash.

Online through our website and in person at either of our venues.

We have an exclusive partnership with etix for any Old Rock House or The Sovereign presents shows. We recommend purchasing only through our website which redirects to the Etix ticket portal, and we strongly discourage buying tickets from third-party resellers. For shows not presented by ORH or The Sovereign, we recommend purchasing tickets only through the presenting partner’s official channels.

Our box office will be open for fee-free ticket sales on any night we have a concert. We cannot sell tickets to shows put on by an outside promoter at our box office. Our box office is not open during private events.

Most of our shows are Doors @ 7:00pm / Show @ 8:00pm, but please check each show for changes.

At the Grand Center Arts District there is abundant street parking around the venue. That said, we strongly encourage ride share since we cannot guarantee security on street parking.

Why yes we do! Please contact parties@thesovereignstl.com for more information.

Nope, we are smoke-free – but if you are over 21 you can smoke in the art park next door.

Contact us in the office Monday through Friday 1pm – 5pm at 314-588-0505 or email info@sovereignstl.com about making necessary accommodations.

Children ages 3 and under DO NOT need a ticket. Ages 4 and older will need a ticket.

All bags will be subject to search upon entry. Other than that, there’s no specific bag policy.

Our preferred hotel partner is Drury Inn & Suites STL Union Station.

You can contact our booking team at info@thesovereignstl.com. Please include any relevant band/artist info.

All shows are general admission, unless otherwise posted. This means mostly standing room with a limited amount of seating that is first come, first served.

No outside drinks allowed in the building (it’s the law!)
