American Vanity hits the stage with a sound that feels less like a performance and more like a heavy, atmospheric pulse you can’t quite shake. American Vanity is an American alternative rock band that officially launched on January 1, 2026. The four-piece group—consisting of dual vocalists Virginia Franks (bass) and Luke Hoffman (guitar), along with Luke Vanchure (lead guitar) and Carter Dennis (drums)—defines itself through a blend of high-energy punk, polished pop-rock, and socially conscious lyrics.
The band’s identity is built on a critique of the modern "attention economy." Their name, American Vanity, serves as a commentary on the cultural obsession with image, social media validation, and the search for authenticity in a digital world. This theme carries through their songwriting, which balances raw vulnerability with aggressive critiques of power structures and industry corruption.
